The Slenderpikes are sauricthyformes native to Skull Island's waterways. They are voracious predators, snatching small animals in their long jaws, and also pterosaurs out of the air. They are dominant predators of the waterways, only outcompeted by a few species. Goblin Trout

Status: Rare

The Goblin Trouts are Xenacanthids that live across Skull  Island. Their name stems from their unusual noses, which purpose are currently unknown. They also have sharp, venomous spines that cause sharp pain and drowsiness when stabbed into someone. several members of the expedition know all to well what it's like.


Macaw fish

Habitat: Shallow sea, coral reef

Length: 1-2m

Weight: 4-6kg

Food: Coral, small crustaceans

Breeding: Unknown

Lifespan: Unknown

Status: Common-vulnerable

The Macaw fish are giant relatives of the parrot fish, who's front teeth have become a thick beak. They use this to crop coral and also to smash open the shells of crustaceans.


Spotted Carpet-angel

The Carpet-angels are a group of squatinaforme shark native to the seas around Skull Island. Their name comes from the carpet-like appearance they have which is created by the fleshy lobes and tendrils surrounding their upper body and the symmetrical patterns on their back. They are voracious predators of small fish, and hunt in the same way as their relatives.


Dwarf Sungazer

Food: Small fish, amphibians, mall mammals

Lifespan: Unknown

Status: Vulnerable

For a while it was believed that 'Infernalichthys' was the last icthyodectid left on earth. That was until the discovery of the smaller, but no less interesting, Sungazers. So name,end for their eyes which stare upwards for surface prey, they are freshwater predators that will take anything they can catch. There are 8 known species of Sungazer, found across the island. This species is the smallest and most common. They are fed upon by many animals, including their larger, more fearsome relative, but they are still voracious killers in their own right.
